This is a cool cool car

Bodily this car appears to have little done to it, but as we found in the past these cars that look as if they have only recently been driven off of the production line, whereas in reality the car may look like a standard road going model, but it a completely different machine all together.

The great thing about a car like this is that it will give the rest of us ambition as one day could have the opportunity to build a car that looks and drives as good as this. However, it is going to take a lot more than ambition to create a machine that can even close to this car.

The question that we have to ask here, is this a racing car, show car or just an everyday road car, it is hard to tell these days with so many cars making an appearance. All we can say is that you should not expect to see this car in the supermarket car park.

Whiteline Front Brace-strut tower alloy adj. CA18 hatch: Nissan – 180SX S13 (88-96) incl CA18 hatch SR20 coupe, 200SX S14(94-00), S15 (00-03), 240SX S13,S14 (89-98) KA24 2.4l #8659

Product Details: Weight aside, the more the better. Chassis bracing maintains alignment angles and spring rates by greatly reducing body or chassis flex. In fact, it helps every component in the suspension system do its job properly. Race cars have elaborate roll cages not just to protect the occupant, a good proportion of its job is to stiffen the chassis. Critical for serious performance and essential for any car with up rated springs, shocks or sway bars. You’ll even feel the difference in a standard car. Depending on the location, expect improved turn-in, sharper steering response along with greater feedback. There are many different types, the most common being strut tower braces. The range also includes lower control arm braces, extra heavy-duty sway bar mounts and rear sub frame lock kits.

Strut bracing maintains alignment angles and spring rates by greatly reducing body flex. Critical for serious performance.

Adjustable Rear Control Arms: The broadest range on the market with models to suit sedan and wagon reflecting the different rear tracks. Avoids excessive rear sway bar link pre-load and failure found with other brands while using stronger than OE link mounts. This is another cause of excessive flex and premature failure with some other brands.

Go Fast Bits S14, S15 Deceptor Pro BOV: Nissan 200SX SR20DET S14 15 (1994 2003) #9495

Product Details:

The 2005 SEMA show marked the official launch of the Deceptor Pro, where it was presented with three awards in the category of Best New Performance-Street Product , as nominated by motoring journalists from across the globe.

Modern, compact in-car BOV volume controller with backlit dial

Volume adjustment mechanism driven by a high-torque geared electric motor

Durable, low-friction gear train supported by precision sealed ball-bearings

Supplied with all parts necessary to have it up and running quickly and easily

The Deceptor Pro also includes trademark GFB design features:

Ertalyte piston ring maintains the integrity of the vacuum signal

Acetal piston seat positive seal under boost, and a maintenance-free long life

Lightweight piston, for fast valve response

360 rotating vacuum nipple for neat installations

Low profile, user friendly spring adjustment mechanism no tools required

Compatible with GFB s wide range of adaptors, to allow installation on any turbo car

Fits:

Nissan 200SX SR20DET S14 15 (1994 2003)

Direct Bolt On

The standard turbocharger on the 200SX (like the Skyline turbos) is prone to low rpm compressor surge. By replacing the factory BOV with a GFB unit, this tendency can be reduced, although compressor surge can still occur. However, as long as it only occurs at low rpm and boost levels then it isn’t likely to cause turbo damage

One Response to This is a cool cool car

  1. Andrew Mara says:

That was my car. Yes it was daily driven on the roads, so you woul dhave seen it in the car park every day – you would have probably heard the clunking of the mechanical LSD first though, as that was hellish noisy.

Yes, the car was also driven on the track and competed at a few supersprint days.

It was a brilliant car. Probably still is – I sold it about two years ago.
