The S2000 is one of the most underestimated cars the Honda brought out, there could be many reason for that, market, competition or just a general lack of cash around in the buyers pockets. However, this is car worth thinking about especially as this model is actually over ten years old now.

This particular Honda S2000, is owned by import builder Brian Kim who is based in southern California, the build did not set out to set the world on fire as it was going to be a more personal experience, but as with many projects once it was started it just grew into a life of its own.

For a two seater car, this has more to offer than just driving around in the sun with the top down, this is a real performance car by anyone’s standards, it is producing around 330 HP and for a car like this of this style and size that is a lot of horse power pulling it along.

The original car would have been the AP2 chassis version that was introduced in 2004, with some serious upgrades on the previous version. It was powered by a 2.0 litre that would have been offering 237 HP, although that could be cranked up slightly with some adjustments.

So there have been quite few modifications to this car, under the hood is sports a fantastic F20c VTEC engine with turbo of course, this has been supported by a few additions like a Tial wastgate, and Garrett GT-R 35.

In all this is a racers car, everything about it this car has been designed to make it go faster and if it did not work, it was changed and replaced by something that could do the job with purpose and conviction. First, this car has been given a boost by adding a Precision 6176E Turbo Charger, which is bound to boost the power up to the levels that any racer would love to have under their foot. This is the car that makes BMW’s, Audi’s, Jaguar’s and Mercedes  all shake in their collective skins, this is because the Honda occasionally brings out something special and this is the one that the Japanese car maker should be proud of.
