We are looking at the first generation model here; it came with a choice of either a 1.6 litre, 1.8 litre or the 2.0 litre power unit and a choice of either the four speed auto or the five speed manual gearbox. The car has a curvy look with a flowing line from to back to help with aerodynamics and to give that sporty feel, which is all important when buying a sports coupe.

Nevertheless, cars such as this can easily be modified, it takes a bit of time and money, yet the finished item is well worth the effort in the end. Performance wise the basic road going car would have between 114 HP and 140 HP, although with a few tweak here and there it is possible to add a further 50+ HP should that be desired, in this case it would seem that the look is more important than performance.

While a few changes have been made under the hood, the main effort has been put into creating an exciting exterior and equally interesting interior. But this is modifying and in many cases this means customising to the desires of the driver and this often produces a wonderfully unique car, which this is, you only have to look at the images to see just how individual this car is, compared to the standard model.

You could say that the builder likes a bit of neon lighting as this features in several sections of the car, but most obvious especially during the night is the lighting under the car. This bright blue neon lighting system gives the car its individual look and makes sure that everyone who sees it will never forget the yellow Hyundai Coupe that floats on a cushion of blue neon light.

Of course it is not all about lighting, this car has had a complete modification, so that means under the hood we are going to be looking at something special! The new larger 2.4 litre engine means more power on its own, but it does not stop there the work in the engine compartment is extensive and the result means better performance from the improved power output.

Clearly, the owner of this vehicle not only has the talent to produce and fantastic looking machine, they have a serious sense of humour and fun, which probably makes for the better design as the work is fun rather than a chore. Most of the work appears to be aimed at what the car looks like, rather than performance, we sense that by popping the hood there will be an engine that looks like it has never been switched on, but there will be no performance enhancing features.

For some import builders the ultimate goal is speed and performance, but that is not always the case and this Hyundai Coupe looks the business and yet the actual mechanics are the same as they were a few years ago when it was being produced. but there is nothing wrong with that and so this finished are is looking good, but what is the issue with the blow up aliens!

The car is the latest offering from Hyundai, it’s the Genesis Coupe which is a stunning car on its own, but this modified car takes it to different level and although the can still the Genesis in there, the new modified version looks like a completely different car altogether, which is the whole point of an import builders job.

It is not just the exterior that has been given the import builder treatment, under the hood, there is a new turbo and along with the enough upgrades to make your toes curl up, the performance has to be better than the original car would have offered. Although with a choice between the 2.0 litre turbo Theta engine producing 210 HP and the 3.8 litre Lambda V6 producing 306 HP.

Performance is just one part of this car, style, design and looks is the other, this piece of work does not fail in that area either, with some serious upgrades all round, but it is the in entertainment system that takes centre place. The Tibron has been thoughtfully modified to a high standard with a lot of work done under the hood, but at the same time, there are some interesting body features in there too. However, unlike some body kits and mouldings the exterior of this Tibron has been completed with care even down to the red LED’s underneath the car and is actually an asset to the car.

The bright red finish has been taken inside too, with the exterior colour blending into the panels inside the car, which normally may be considered as being a bit tacky, but it actually suits this car. It is probably because red is the key colour and is used throughout instead of there being a mix of colours or shades.

Naturally this is not going to be to everyone’s taste, but that is what import building is all about, pushing the boundaries as far as the builder is able to go, but without going too far and making a mess of the whole thing. This car is just right with the right balance of features and styling to show that is still a Hyundai Tibron, just very special!

This the V6 version and as you can see from the owners images this is a truly special car with so work put into it , that it would be hard to come up with a fair valuation. That would be if the owner actually wanted to sell this car in the first place.

This must be the first Hyundai Tuscani that we have found, which ponders the why is that? These are cars that can deliver solid performance and at the same are reasonable to run too. So to that effect, we should be seeing hundreds if not thousands of these cars on these pages.

This car is the work of Will Stovall, it is a 2003 model and so it is not seriously old and therefore has a few good years in it, but why waits until the car is in its final years when you put a car such as this together and add numerous years to the back end of its life.

There has been some extensive work on this car right through the range from under the hood to the external bodywork, virtually every part the car has had some sort of work done to it and it shows, as this car is stands out from the rest, unless someone has any other ideas.

This is a brilliant looking car; in fact, it makes a change to show a car that has actually has very little down to the engine and yet had a whole lot of work done on what the car looks like. There has been a some extensive work done here and yet although you can see what has been done. This one certainly goes for the look rather than what is under the foot.

However, having said that, the underneath this Hyundai is plenty of power anyway so maybe Will is right here, he already has the car underneath him, so why work on that when you can make a beautiful looking car like this one. Even the colour is right with this car, some car look wrong with certain colours yet the custom three stage Lamborghini orange paint job is so right.
