We are looking at the first generation model here; it came with a choice of either a 1.6 litre, 1.8 litre or the 2.0 litre power unit and a choice of either the four speed auto or the five speed manual gearbox. The car has a curvy look with a flowing line from to back to help with aerodynamics and to give that sporty feel, which is all important when buying a sports coupe.

Nevertheless, cars such as this can easily be modified, it takes a bit of time and money, yet the finished item is well worth the effort in the end. Performance wise the basic road going car would have between 114 HP and 140 HP, although with a few tweak here and there it is possible to add a further 50+ HP should that be desired, in this case it would seem that the look is more important than performance.

While a few changes have been made under the hood, the main effort has been put into creating an exciting exterior and equally interesting interior. But this is modifying and in many cases this means customising to the desires of the driver and this often produces a wonderfully unique car, which this is, you only have to look at the images to see just how individual this car is, compared to the standard model.

The Tibron has been thoughtfully modified to a high standard with a lot of work done under the hood, but at the same time, there are some interesting body features in there too. However, unlike some body kits and mouldings the exterior of this Tibron has been completed with care even down to the red LED’s underneath the car and is actually an asset to the car.

The bright red finish has been taken inside too, with the exterior colour blending into the panels inside the car, which normally may be considered as being a bit tacky, but it actually suits this car. It is probably because red is the key colour and is used throughout instead of there being a mix of colours or shades.

Naturally this is not going to be to everyone’s taste, but that is what import building is all about, pushing the boundaries as far as the builder is able to go, but without going too far and making a mess of the whole thing. This car is just right with the right balance of features and styling to show that is still a Hyundai Tibron, just very special!

This is a brilliant looking car; in fact, it makes a change to show a car that has actually has very little down to the engine and yet had a whole lot of work done on what the car looks like. There has been a some extensive work done here and yet although you can see what has been done. This one certainly goes for the look rather than what is under the foot.

However, having said that, the underneath this Hyundai is plenty of power anyway so maybe Will is right here, he already has the car underneath him, so why work on that when you can make a beautiful looking car like this one. Even the colour is right with this car, some car look wrong with certain colours yet the custom three stage Lamborghini orange paint job is so right.
