Drag Racing’s Exhibition Attractions: From Rockets to Ramp-Jumps (Paperback)

Product Description

This book showcases photographically the wide variety of cars and drivers that fit into the exhibition theme: the jets, wheel standers, rockets and other exhibition vehicles, which have thrilled millions of spectators. Their entire basis was who had the fastest vehicle. However, in 1959 complaints from other competitors and Detroit automakers got all aircraft-powered dragsters banned, so they became the sideshow attached to the legitimate circus that is drag racing. The Green Monster became the first exhibition car exceeding 200 mph everywhere it ran. Wanting even more, Walt Arfons debuted the first jet-powered dragster, which became the desire of every fan and promoter throughout the country. At virtually the same instant, Tom Ivo had Kent Fuller build a four-engine dragster and although it was too heavy to be competitive, the tire-smoke show became arguably the most famous exhibition car in history.
Drag Racing Funny Cars: Factory Flyers to Flip-top Fuelers (A Photo Gallery) (Paperback)

Product Description

Since the early 1960s, dealer-sponsored Super Stockers battled for supremacy on the quarter-mile and in the dealer showrooms. Evolving into the Factory Experimental class, these wild steel bodied, altered–wheelbase monsters were stuffed with massive fuel injected and supercharged engines that attracted crowds to the drag strip! Legendary pioneers “Dyno” Don Nicholson, Jack Chrisman, Bill Shrewsberry, Butch Leal, Dick Landy, Arnie Beswick, Phil Bonner, Gas Ronda, Don Gay, Sox & Martin, Richard Petty, and many other A/FX stars were instrumental in the development of the funny car as it morphed from a heavy production car into seven-second 250mph aerodynamic fibreglass, tubular chassis missile. The popularity of funny cars led “Jungle Jim” Lieberman, Bill Lawton, Lew Arrington, Bill Flynn, Norm Kraus, and “Big” John Mazmanian to become household names. Tom ”Mongoose” McEwen, Don “Snake” Prudhomme, Tom Hoover, Kenny Safford, Terry Capp, John Force, Kenny Bernstein, Jake Johnston, Larry Reyes, Richard Tharp, Roland Leong, Randy Walls, Jess Tyree, Rich Siroonian and others who achieved success racing funny cars are all featured in over 300 incredible colour and black and white photos.

Burnout series exhaust systems consist of many cat back and axle back systems for various imports and domestic sports compact vehicles. Designed to be O.E. replacements, each system bolts onto the original mounting locations with uniquely designed hangers that prevent slippage. With 2.5″ cat back piping, it allows for increased exhaust flow throughout the RPM range without losing too much back pressure at lower RPM. Sporty Zen style muffler features compact canister with 4.0″ muffler tip. Special sound dampening materials inside the muffler canister facilitate deep and low throaty exhaust tone and increase low end torque for street use. Made of 100% grade A stainless steel material, the burnout exhaust systems are not only attractive in appearance but they also have high durability.

This Rvinyl Headlight Protection Film kits are designed to protect your vehicle”s headlamps from road debris, weather elements, salt and UV discoloration. Headlamp Protection Film kits are pre-cut and model specific and made from a pliable urethane adhesive backed film. Rvinyl kits apply as easily as a decal, but are repositionable during the application process using a wet application method and conform to your vehicle”s lights by using a heat source. If you have a hair dryer, you can install this product. Years of outdoor exposure degrade OEM lights, turn signals and fog lights. Scratches and UV radiation turn headlights yellow and milky-white over time, leading up to a 50% degradation in foot light candle output. Rvinyl headlight protection films prevents this and are non-protective tint film however does not provide a level of protection from significant scratches or UV radiation. 1 in 6 vehicles on the road will require headlight replacements. OEM composite lights cost in excess of $600.00 to replace. Rvinyl Protection kits may be removed with out damaging existing lights, increasing resale value and protecting leased vehicles. Rvinyl offers two types of clear protection film, a lite version designed to be installed by the average user and a professional version, which is five times thicker, and designed for professional installers. Both protect your headlights, but the processional version is specifically engineered for off-road use vehicles and race tracks.

Secret Weapon Intake (Nissan | 240SX | 91-94)

Product Description

The air filter can be totally taken apart and cleaned. The foam is denser and more thicker than the Dragon filter.

The velocity stank inside the air filter is a TRUE VELOCITY STACK. The Air filter has Ram Air capability, by hooking up the hose to the top of the air filter.

The intake has another Air Passage way inside the intake pipe to create a Air Fusion, imagine 2 different pathways of air inside the intake pipe, one air traveling in pathway #1 going 2 x faster than pathway #2. When the two different pathways of airflow meet at the end of the pipe they create a fusion effect which enhances the AIR SPEED of the by 3 times.

The Secret Weapon Intake Systems is an result of countless hours of testing and tuning of air intake velocity, Airmass and Airspeed for each vehicle application. The Result, an intake system that performs better than any Cold Air Intake, but with a Short Ram. It is possible by Weapon*R’s Patent Pending Speed Velocity theory, By creating a higher airspeed in the intake path you increase airmass and airspeed, which greatly increase horsepower.

This is possible by Creating two different paths of airflow, both flowing at different airspeeds, due to the tubing diameter in which the air is traveling. Now when the two different paths of air meet, they create a vacuum, which is where the airspeed starts to multiply, forcing more air into the engine at a higher rate, creating more horsepower.

The Secret Weapon Intake Systems are carefully CNC mendrel bent out of 6061 Aluminium, and then Hand Tig Welded in sections to ensure a constant balance in airflow, regulation in airspeed, positive seal and proper fittment.
Product Description

“Rvinyl window tint kits are made from high quality tint film manufactured by Llumar. Our film when properly installed will not fade, lose colour, turn purple, or bubble. Precut tints are a cost effective way for the do-it-yourself installer to save time and money by taking the guess work out of the window tint installation process. Rvinyl car window tint kits are precut specifically for the make, model and year listed in the product name using advanced software and the most updated window tint pattern databases in the industry. We use professional grade equipment in the manufacturing of your film kit, allowing for a precision and professional results in half the time it would take you to install film by the roll. Although installing precut kits is significantly easier and less time consuming than installing film by the roll, it can still be a difficult process. Although many sites claim their kits are easy to install, we recommend you review the installation procedures outlined to make sure our product meets your needs. Installation difficulty depends on the ability of the installer, the particular windows being tinted and the compound surface of the rear windshield as it will require heat shrinking for proper installation. Front and rear windows are generally relatively easy to tint as they rarely require heat shrinking.”

This is famous car, so I suppose that means that the owner Billy Shea is also famous. They say that this is probably the only IS300 that is known by all fans of import cars, as this one came in first at the Nisei Week Show Off and that is no mean feat either as it is the competition that all car owners in LA and probably the entire US want to win. The work on this car is barely three years old and it has already reached its main goal, to win trophies and get into magazines. However, this car is something else; with brilliant colour and fantastic features, this Lexus is currently the supreme Lexus IS300 around at the moment. That in itself is something to celebrate. Therefore, what now for the future, a new car or project, or simple a reboot of this model, the later would seem to be in order and the target is first up to crack 900 HP and then move on to breaking some of those quarter mile records that seem so tempting now and then. Specs: Output 748 hp @ 30 psi Engine – 2JZGTE Toyota Supra engine; … Continue reading →

Secret Weapon Intake (Lexus | IS300 | 00-03)

Each one of these intake systems are carefully tuned, by matching the engines displacement, air intake capacity and airspeed to the intake systems tube size, length and secondary pathway tubing diameters to maximize the full potential of the SECRET WEAPON INTAKE SYSTEM.

This is a Brand New 1 piece chrome like plated mesh grille insert kit. This grill will fit all Honda Civic Si models from the 2002-2005. This mesh grille insert is for the upper grille. Note: This is not to replace your factory grille, it is simply an insert to change the current look of your car because this grille is simply an overlay. Therefore if you do not have the same front end as the picture this will not work. The mesh grille insert will attach straight on top of your factory grille using the provided wiring harness. The mesh has a diamond style pattern. This is very popular in the automotive scene. The mesh will not restrict airflow into your engine. The diamond mesh pattern has opens of 1/4″ by 3/8″. The mesh is a 20 gauge material meaning that it is strong yet it is also pliable making this a great product to work with. The mesh is a chrome ‘like’ mesh because it is not true chrome but is resembles it because of the shinny finish.
