The S14 still uses the same DOHC 2.4 litre engine but now it has been moved on to having a four valves per cylinder and would be producing around 155 HP in the standard set up. Naturally, Nissan had improved the steering and handling of the car, which it to be expected after all this was a new design back in 1995! It is body shape that takes the car off in a new direction; it is more upright and functional, whereas the S13 had the looks.

This model is from 1998, it would have been one of the last of these great cars to be built and there is one thing that really stands out with the project, this is the fact the apart from a new paint job this car exterior has been left alone. However under the hood there are some nice additions from Tomei, Walbro, Godspeed and Delphi that ensure this car is producing just under 600 HP, yes that is right!

I love this car, it has style to start off with, but as the project comes to end it has something else power and performance too, you just cannot deny that a car with looks and speed is not something that is going to make you look! There is another point to this car and that is this car is one of the last of its kind, without import builders taking these cars on and building them into these beautiful machines, the Nissan 240 SX S14 would completely disappear from the road, which is something that cannot be allowed to happen.

Production only lasted for three years, but this two coupe with smooth lines and classic body shape is ideal for import builders to work on, with plenty of parts available and the potential to install specialised equipment too. Modifying a car could not be any easier so long as there are some basic skills and plenty of cash to invest into the project, even then the cost is irrelevant a build such as this would be calling.

This modified Nissan 240 SX has been developed with a keen eye, the builder has taken the basic car and made the changes that they want to it, this would appear to be mainly under the hood as the spec list is more extensive in that department than in any other area of the car. Nevertheless, the idea of modifying a car is to produce something personal to the builder and this car says a lot about the builder.

Even the exterior has a nice styling to it, having the look of the original car, but with subtle changes that only an S14 expert would notice, such as the massive Greddy titanium exhaust you need to take a close up view of that, it is like a work of art! The only other noticeable feature would be the wheels, these are such a personal choice and when anyone changes the wheels, it is almost like added a signature to the build, the black 5zigen 3-piece wheels are seriously cool and complete a great build.

It is probably fair to say that in 1996 when this Nissan 240SX was built, these cars were just another Nissan and only a few enthusiasts could see the potential in the model. You only have to look at its smooth flowing lines to see that this is car with style and then there is the versatility of being able to swap things around, as there is plenty of room under the hood and inside this two door coupe.

Originally this car would have been powered the standard 2.4i litre SOHC engine that would have been good for around 140 HP, but one of the first changes in this car would have been to dump that old lump and replace it with the 2.6 litre straight six twin turbo engine from a GT-R. This is what we mean about being versatile, not all cars allow import builders to do this, but it does not just stop there, as the running gear needs upgrading too to cope with the power.

So now, this car is now a 450 HP monster and with the additional safety features such as a roll cage and door bars, there is no room for comfort. From the images the main feature that stands out are the wheels, these are seventeen inch Gram Lights, with +30 offset 235/45R17 17 x 9.5 for the rear and the front +22 offset 275/40ZR17. These tyres and wheels would never have been found on the original car and yet they add a certain bit of nineties flair to car, there is something cool about seeing a bit of rubber that sticks out further that bodywork.

The original cars were not that successful, despite offering the buyer a chance to grab a sports car for the almost the same price as sedan. There were three versions available the two door coupe, three door hatchback and the fantastic two door convertible. The standard 2.4 litre engine was supplied across the range and this offered the driver a low 140 HP to play with, although in later models this was increased to 155 HP.

So this particular Nissan 240 SX has only limited modifications on the exterior, so that means that the most of the work must have been carried out under the hood and that is why this car produces 406 HP. Imagine that power under your foot, in a car that only weighs the same as a family hatchback, now that is what you call a modified car!

It is the work of Kathryn Tanaka and it has to be said that with this third build she has really come up with a winner. This is a drifting car and as result of some intense driving the car apparently needed some touch ups here and there, so why not go all the way and create a new car instead, that is what has been done here for third time.

However, it has not been all cosmetic, for a modification means, just that and some serious changes have taken place under the hood. For instance, the S13 SR20DET Red Top has been upgraded with a Megan Racing stainless steel exhaust and a GReddy M spec front mounted intercooler has been fitted behind the impressive type X front bumper.

Never the less it is still hard to believe that this is a car that is twenty years old, one of the original series one S13’s sporting the 2.4 litre engine offering around 140 HP with a choice of a four speed auto or a five speed manual gearbox. we can only guess at what this car is producing in the power department, but we can be sure that it is a lot more than the standard road model!

This the Stream Z GT it’s the brainchild of magazine owner and drift fan Daijiro Inada, he used to be content with a nice standard S15 Silvia, but that was okay, but he had in mind something else, something so different that it will daze and confuse everyone that lays their eyes on this wonderful machine.

He created the Stream Z GT, it is based on a RP S13 180 SX, on the front Top Secret have fitted their famous Top Secret 350Z styling kit, while to the rear a more subtle V35 Skyline body kit has been fitted. Naturally fitting this is not as easy as you first may think, but the finished article is something so different that Daijiro Inada has started a business out of it.

There are a few noticeable additions to the body, but unlike some builds that go over the top these modifications are subtle and not only do a great job in directing the airflow, they give the bodywork a certain style, which is great.

This model is a second generation car an S14, it would have originally been fitted with 2.4 litre engine producing just 140 HP, but luckily this is a resourceful engine and there are many different variations producing an even wider range of power through the four speed auto gearbox.

The car has been finished off in a classic Nissan style red paint job. However, unlike any production model, this is a car that delivers around 406 HP and that has some serious power for a car of this size and weight, yet this is a road going vehicle.

The brilliant Nissan 240 SX S14was unveiled in 1994 and first on sale the following year, it was a different direction from the S13 model as that convertible and hatch back versions were phased out during the design stages. This means the Nissan has one car, one body style and one really cool car ideal for import builders to get their hands on.

The S14 was all about refinements and not in the way that would make the car into a luxury sedan, these refinements were to make the care sleeker, lighter and much faster. In fact getting 300 HP out of this car is a piece of cake, taking up to 450 HP as this is, take a lot more work and specific skills and clearly the team behind this car are very skilful and talented.

The car has managed to keep its shape and style, but sits like a heavy tiger waiting pounce and with 450 HP at the driver’s disposal that is not going to be too difficult at all. The car still uses the 2.4 litre inline engine but this one has come straight of a Nissan Skyline GTR.
