The Nissan 350Z, naturally comes with a 3.5 litre V6 engine, the production would have been producing around 287 HP and there would have been a choice of a five speed auto or six speed manual gearbox. In short, this car has been designed to tap into the sports car market, with a car that is stylish and has the Nissan culture of quality and reliability that consumers demand.

This particular model, has been carefully thought out, it takes the best of everything available on the market and combined with some hard work and plenty of time, this has produced one of the best looking cars on the scene. The evolution III brought in that classic two door coupe body shape that we still see in the fifth generation car, it would have been powered by the straight six 2.6 litre engine and came with a standard five speed manual gearbox. Customer options were clearly not top of the manufacturers wish list with this car, but 313 HP soon made up for any short fall on the optional upgrade menu to start with!

Over the years, the design has followed popular styling and design, but it was the R30 series in the early 80’s that really changed everything and brought out the Skyline that we love today. What we are talking about here is the R33; this was in production from 1993 for five years. The Z of course comes from the famous Datsun 240Z and this modern day interpretation of that classic car does not let the side down. As expected this Nissan is powered by the fantastic 3.5 litre V6 power unit that initially would be providing around 300 HP, this is complemented with a choice of either the five speed auto or six speed manual gearbox. The Z series replaced the highly respected and much loved Nissan 300ZX, but the new Z series is much more than the ZX could ever have been and it still is with import builders taking an interest.

This 350Z is a great example on what you can do with the car without going over the top and losing out on valuable performance to make the car look fast with overdone body kits. Every here appears to have been kept to a minimum and it works, not only in looks but in the performance too, it seems that the more you over cook the car the tougher it becomes to handle, a point worth remembering we think!

This car may be a total homage to carbon fibre and why not, if your budget can stand it, but there is much more to this car and it shows when the hood is lifted to expose that beautiful 3.5 litre V6 engine. The S14 still uses the same DOHC 2.4 litre engine but now it has been moved on to having a four valves per cylinder and would be producing around 155 HP in the standard set up. Naturally, Nissan had improved the steering and handling of the car, which it to be expected after all this was a new design back in 1995! It is body shape that takes the car off in a new direction; it is more upright and functional, whereas the S13 had the looks.

This model is from 1998, it would have been one of the last of these great cars to be built and there is one thing that really stands out with the project, this is the fact the apart from a new paint job this car exterior has been left alone. However under the hood there are some nice additions from Tomei, Walbro, Godspeed and Delphi that ensure this car is producing just under 600 HP, yes that is right!

I love this car, it has style to start off with, but as the project comes to end it has something else power and performance too, you just cannot deny that a car with looks and speed is not something that is going to make you look! There were only 5,300 of these cars made over the short three year production run, with a final version going under the NUR branding after the famous Nurburgring race track in Germany. The two door coupe with a solid 2.6 litre in line engine and six speed manual gear box was coming to an end and so it is time for the import builders to step in and save the car from becoming tomorrows scrap. That is what has happened here, this Nissan Skyline has been worked on to a very high standard and it shows, but for the non car modifier your would be luck as this car is for sale with a $85,000 asking price.

There is a little confusion here though, in Japan this is the Nissan Skyline 2000 GT, but for export purposes, it was still going under the old brand name of the Datsun K Series. Datsun was a brand that changed the way that the car industry worked; the reason for its popularity is because it featured many things as standard that would be considered extras in big brands such as Ford and GM.

The GT version had the look of a big US muscle type car; just a little bit smaller but perfectly formed in many ways. The GT EX was the upgraded GT-R, they put in a turbo charged engine, and this was the first production car to actually have this feature. However, for turbos, this was early days; there were no intercoolers or even a blow off valve, just a pressure release valve for emergencies. The power output varied from 95 HP to 130 HP.

This particular model, brings all that was great about the 1970’s back to life, the owner has done a terrific job in bringing this car back to life. It appears to be almost completely original in every aspect, naturally, parts are hard to come by these days and yet this car just looks perfect, even with those oversized wheels that every modified car must have just to stay on the road.

However, here we have something completely different, it is by that established builder firm, Enjuku Racing who have been doing the rounds on the Formula D and NOPI Drift competitions using mainly modified versions of the Nissan 240SX. However, this car is a step up from the normal, for the first time Enjuku have taken the Nissan 350Z and by adding their creative flair; the Nissan 350Z drifting machine has been born.

As it stands the 350Z as the number indicates is powered by the 3.5 litre V6 engine capable of producing in excess of 310 HP straight from the factory, which is some serious power. However, once all of the luxuries have been stripped out and a supercharger added to the already powerful engine, you are looking at around 380 HP in a car that has lost half its bodyweight, now you are talking about a car made for drifting.

When this car was on display at the SEMA event, it was clearly the best looking car around and that is with that huge rear spoiler sticking around two feet off the boot lid. Nevertheless, with this the car would literally fly for a few seconds, which is great but not recommended. With a light car and masses of power it is the bodywork that keeps the car in contact with the road, BRS AutoDesigns appear to have come up with the goods here.
