Clearly, this is a rare body style, you just do not see many of these around, but that is not all as this car is finished in a beautiful pearlescent white. Therefore, you may feel that there would be little to do with car other than tidy it up a little bit and cruise around looking cool! That means this car is nowhere near looking like the finished article and there are plenty of options too.

First up would be the essential body kit, no build would be complete without some sort of alteration to the bodywork and to complement this new look, the lights would need to be changed to something more fitting to the new style. The great Nissan Silvia came out in a great many different styles and models, but this is one is the S15 which is very rare as it was only in production for a couple years finishing in 1998, so to find one these cars in such great condition is a rare find indeed. In fact, the owner of this car Ming Hang actually found this one in Japan and had it shipped stateside.

The car originally came with a 2.0 Litre DOHC producing a respectable 165 HP or the same engine with a Turbo fitted producing an improved 250 HP. The gear box options include a five or six speed manual gearbox or the choice of four speed automatic gearbox.

With all of the work that has gone into this car, you would think that the car was good, well it is not good, it is absolutely fantastic producing around 350 HP and come with a fantastic looking paintjob that maybe white, but it is a serious white, rather than just plain old white.

She is a brave woman, Jennifer Jar, not for creating a beautiful looking machine like this 2000 Nissan Silvia S15, but quite simply how she acquired it. Walking around the warehouse district in Miami with $19,000 in cash is one thing and the buying this car off some shady character is another? However, looking at the car you can tell that she is a lady that knows what she is doing, which is more than what some men can.

It was not that she was buying a car that was good to go; in fact, by all accounts the car needed a work doing in just about every single area. It is not every day that you see a really cool looking car that makes you stop and think “Wow” but with this Nissan 240SX Silvia, you just cannot help but to do that and nobody would blame because this model is truly fantastic.

Modelled on a WWII B 17 by the owner Todd Griesch, this car has the colour right and even along the bodywork it has artwork that resembles the bodywork on the plane itself, with panels and rivets all airbrushed in with superior skill and accuracy.

What makes this car special is that when the owner bought it, is was a little worse for wear and in many cases might have even been scrapped. However, the word scrapped is not a word that appears in the vocabulary of a builder and that is just as well too, otherwise this motor would exist and that would be a shame.

Setting out on the long road to completing a project is a long process that many people who do get involved in this sort of work find it hard to understand. Why would someone spend all of their spare time working on a car?

The answer to that question is just taking a look at this Nissan Silvia, it might be eight years old but you would not know it to look at it.

This car is a real import from Japan, three months travelling and finally the car turns up on the drive way of James Deane, but this was just the JDM S14 Silvia chassis and so the work begins with the installation of six point cage, bride seating with UKDM TRS harness and Sparco steering wheel.

This car was being built for the track, but in European Prodrift series, which covers Ireland, the UK and other European tracks.
