by David Allen on Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

The humble Honda Civic started off as one of the most compact cars around, but over the years, this car has evolved into something that has become one of the most desirable small cars around. However, for the import builder this creates a big problem, because if you are going to build a Civic then you had better make sure that you create the best around.

That brings us nicely onto this 1993 Honda Civic owned by Cory Dalgren this is an example of what to do when your chosen car is the Civic and you know that there are hundreds if not thousands of critics out there just waiting to pass judgment on your hard work and investment.

The first thing to hit you is the colour, it’s a fantastic blue/green pearl style finish that completely covers the car from top to bottom, the body has been smooth out with no unsightly lumps or bumps to spoil the lines. DC Sports 4-2-1 Ceramic Coated Performance Exhaust Manifold Header – Honda Civic EX 1996-2000

Product Description of the Ceramic Coated Performance Exhaust Manifold Header:

You know you have to have a DC header on your sport compact to really get the most out of your engine’s abilities. All the air you can squeeze into the cylinders doesn’t make a bit of difference if the burned gasses can’t get out efficiently. In addition, guess what: your factory manifold is not efficient. A DC header, on the other hand, is made up of individual runners heading back to a common collector. Compare that to your stock manifold, which most likely looks like a log that all the cylinders have to dump into. Since each cylinder gets its own individual exhaust pipe on the DC header, you avoid competing exhaust pulses, backpressure, and unequal pressures, all of which can stop the exhaust in its tracks and robbed your engine of precious horsepower. A DC Sports header will ensure that you get the most out of your induction system. There is no mistake with stainless steel used throughout, thick, laser cut flanges, machine welds, and ceramic coating to enhance engine efficiency your DC Sports header will help you get the most for a long time to come.

Power Slot 126.40021SR Cars – Front Brake Rotors

Product Description of the power slot front brake rotors:

(Si, w/o ABSd -Right) Built for the (93-95) Honda Del Sol… The original power slot was designed to beat the challenges of high performance brake demands. Brightly plated, Power Slot rotors eliminate rusty rotor syndrome and enhance the look of custom wheels. It is a common fact that venting the gas from super heated brake pads improves overall brake performance. Of the various venting methods, slotting has the clear advantage. Slotting, unlike drilling, is not prone to cracking. In addition, drilling delivers considerably less active braking surface, 108% less than Power Slot. In addition, drilled and slotted rotors deliver 153% less swept area than Power Slot.
