Honda has long been associated with performance vehicles, from motor bikes, car and onto Formula One racing, so this is a pedigree built on a racing heritage and therefore you would expect this racing history to be reflected in all of its cars, well sadly that has not always been the case. In fact, some cars have been very bad indeed.
But then came the DX and this seemed to be a change of direction for Honda and this can be seen in the company’s most recent models. However, the DX is the car that started the Honda renaissance and is well deserving of being modified by pro import builders who have seen the potential of the Honda DX.
The DX is a neat and compact car, making modifying a complicated process, but as this model by Ryan Der and the skilled members of the ATS Garage. Despite the work, it is clear to see that the modified car in the images is Civic, the subtle bodywork changes do not interfere with the original design, which is a good point to remember.
Under the hood is where some serious changes have taken place, in fact one of the first things that was done to this car was an engine change and is always a good sign of commitment! Nevertheless, this job has been a long eight years in the making and it just goes to prove that good things really do come to those who wait.
These are the features and specs for the white Honda Civic DX:

Intake System with Air Filter – Honda Civic DX/LX/CX 1996-2000
Product Features for the Cold Air Induction Intake System with Air Filter:
Cold air induction intake system for the Honda Accord is engineered to reduce intake restriction by smoothing out and straightening airflow. This design allows the Honda Accord engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. The extended aluminium piping amplifies the effect by delivering colder air that contains more oxygen. The greater volume of air translates into a more powerful combustion (sound). The best of both worlds is at your fingertips. Cold air intake system takes it to the next level by making installation a breeze. The short distance of the pipe allows air filter to be easily attached. The intake system comes complete with quality aluminium pipes, filters, hoses, stainless steel clamps, and brackets. Give your Honda Accord the ultra high performance look, aggressive tune and incredible horsepower gain it needs. * Does not come with CARB sticker please check with your State’s Motor Vehicle Department for regulation. Coupling and hose maybe in the colour of red/blue/black.

Honda Shortram Air Intake Blue
Product Description of the Honda Civic 1.8L DX EX LX Shortram Air Intake Blue:
HPS short ram intake systems are an economical alternative to our cold air systems and deliver performance, value and ease of installation. HPS short ram intakes are easy to install under the hood and cost less compared to the cold air intake systems. During the development process, we found certain applications respond favourably to shorter inlet lengths over our longer cold air designs. For these applications, we offer a short ram system only. With HPS in house dyno, we are able to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to deliver the best performance of the shortram air intake systems.
