A very special Honda Fit
To get the story on this car we have rewind a couple years to 2008 when an idea was born, Honda, HOT92 and the Motor Trend Auto Shoes got together with Fox Marketing to come up with this dream machine. When once completed it would be put on show at the PA Auto and Boat Show and given away as the top prize in a draw, how cool would that have been?
This is a car that has been stripped back and rebuilt to highest specifications, with money no object we would have expected anything else. It is the sort of thing that a car fan who happens to be loaded, would be able to do and why blame them the work that has gone into this fantastic machine stands out a mile, you only have to look the car over to see that!
When a car such as this one appears at a show, it is the small details like the colour coded valve cover that stands out more than the major changes, such as the Tanabe cat-back exhaust system or indeed the Honda made performance body kit. The attention detail shows that every option has been well thought through and not just for looks and performance.
This version of the Honda Fit is a second generation; it comes with a choice of 1.2, 1.3 or a 1.5 litre engine that produce between 98 HP and 117 HP. Although there is Mugen Motorsport version that delivers and fantastic 150 HP from the 1.5 litre power unit. However, there is only one question that we need to ask of this modified Honda Fit and that is, where is it now?
