Modified Mazda6 NY style

It is funny how modifying cars takes on a different feel depending on where the owner is located, different cultures, costs and availability of parts all play their part in the development of a build. However, it still seems that the builder knows what is right for their patch and more importantly, what is not right.

This Mazda6 lives in New York and so it looks like a regular Mazda6 as would have come off the production line, but looks can be deceiving and when you live in a big city it is not always a great idea to show off everything that you have. This car does that well behind the body of a family sedan is the heart and brain of a thoroughbred racing machine.

As you can see from the specifications below, very little work has been done on the exterior, but on contrast to that, the engine and transmission modifications have seen extensive work on them. In fact, the exterior has subtle changes and beautiful coat of paint, so it has not been left out of the build at all.

This model is one of the last first generation Mazda6 to leave the factory, there would have been a choice of 1.8 litre, 2.0 litre, 2.3 litre and 3.0 litre engines, with a four, five or six speed auto, or five and six speed manual gearbox choice. These are front wheel drive cars and the power delivered can vary from around 136 HP to over 300 HP, now that is an exciting ride.
