Retro and modified Mazda RX 4

You have to go back to 1974 to see this classic roll of the production line, that’s thirty six years ago and things were certainly much different when it comes to the car. For one thing foreign made and especially Japanese cars were targeted as ruining the US car industry and therefore frowned upon by many people, especially anyone that worked within the industry or in areas where car plants were located.

However, Japanese car makers knew that by offering the buyer what they want for a price that was affordable would be the way to go, it is strange think that carpets, radios and fabric trims were considered as optional extras back then and so came at a premium. This Mazda would have been right in there mixing it up with the best of them.

Of course, the car itself would have looked slightly different to how it does now; in fact, this build has definitely improved the style of the car. you would have to think that despite the age of the car, if the original design team see this, they would think this was how they would have designed the RX 4 if they had a free hand in the process.

You don’t even have to be an enthusiast to enjoy what has been done here, the car has the classic look of the 70’s, but under that there are some additions from the much more recent RX 7. It is amazing to see this modern technology being transplanted into an older body in an almost seamless fashion and yet this is something that works and works well, it is a great car that is a credit to Mazda and the skills of the import builder with vision.

OBX Blue Overdrive Power Pulley Kit

Product Description for the Super Lightweight T-6061 T-6 Aircraft Grade Billet Aluminium Pulley Kit;

Designed to replace OEM accessory pulleys, OBX Overdrive Power Pulley Kits are designed to be lighter than the stock pulleys. By reducing the rotational mass, the engine uses less power to power accessories such as the alternator and power steering pump, which translates into more available horsepower and torque. This well-known and highly utilized process is known as reducing parasitic drag from power-robbing accessories. Depending on application, some of our pulleys have a larger diameter than stock. By utilizing the process of over-driving, the accessory is utilized more efficiently by doing more work on a single spin of the pulley. OBX Overdrive Power Pulley Kits are a great upgrade for any driver to realize the full potential of his or her prized vehicle.
