Serious but subtle modified Mazda6

When you see a modern car that comes under the heading of modified, it often falls into two categories: first the will be the fully modified show or racing car that has been modified to the max and it is very clear exactly what work has been done on the car.

Then there is the subtle modification, this usually involves taking a late year car and modifying to the max, but in a way that to the untrained eye the car looks almost exactly as it did when was driven out of the factory. This modification is one of these; the car looks A1 because it looks as if nothing has been done to it.

The work has been evenly spread around this car with some changes under the hood, such as a new short ram intake and custom turbo inlet pipe. Whereas around the car there are slight additions and changes that appear to be part of the original design, but are not and the only way you would is if this car was standing next to an identical factory finished model.

This is a first generation model, which can been being used as a family run around to a police car, it is clear to see why, the choice of engine varies from 1.8, 2.0, 2.3, 3.0 V6 litre units, with the choice of a four, five and six speed auto or a five and six speed auto gearbox. The power developed starts in the low hundreds but with tuning, can rise to exceed three hundred, so it is clear why this is popular car.
