You have to suppose that building an import car up is a lot like a work of art, you spend hours working on it, perfecting the slightest blemish or fault. Then it gets to that time when you have to decide to show it off. This may be a meeting, magazine or website, but you know that those die hard fans are going to moan about this and that, so that you feel that all you work has been wasted.
But that is not necessarily so, the idea of showing your masterpiece off maybe slightly worrying, but you have to think that many of the critics would not know one end of a socket from another. As with all art, the critics are not necessarily artists themselves. These days those people who build cars, encourage other owners to do the same, they offer advice, and they may not, but it the building that makes all of the difference.
