First of all this is a Honda Civic Shuttle and yes you may ask why on earth we are even mentioning this serious family vehicle on these pages, ordinarily you would be right but we are uber fans of import builders and modified cars! This version of the Honda Civic Shuttle qualifies under both heading and therefore has earned the Honda Civic Shuttle right to appear here front and centre, but first what on earth is a Honda Civic Shuttle? Surprisingly this model was only production for around three years, it is a five door station wagon it is powered by the medium range 1.5 litre engine combined with either the six or five speed manual gearbox or the popular choice of the four speed automatic gearbox. It would have had the option of FWD, RT/4WD and 4WD too, but this is basically a van converted into a family car, in fact when production ceased the Shuttle continued as the Honda Partner delivery van for a further five years. So onto this brilliant build, first of all a car such as this Shuttle is not really show car material, but imagine how cool it would be if it were gutted … Continue reading →

So onto this brilliant build, first of all a car such as this Shuttle is not really show car material, but imagine how cool it would be if it were gutted and rebuilt to the extreme then it would be something wouldn’t it? Well read on because this is a car that is on the edges of extreme, in fact the car is almost unrecognisable as a Shuttle and looks more like a special build, which of course is exactly what this car has become.

Extreme is the key here, and power rules we can say this because this is car that boasts a massive 724 HP, oh yes! This is build that turns the modified car business on its head and back again, it looks crazy because it really is, however it is the work of racer Bisi Ezerioha, who is well known for producing very powerful cars. Yet this Shuttle is just too exciting to be believed, it looks crazy, it has shed loads of power and now in the process turns everything that we think we know about cars on its head.

“Getting more air into your engine and more exhaust out is the key to a performance motor. That’s where exhaust headers come in. Exhaust performance headers do away with the performance-robbing exhaust manifold that came with your car. Headers provide each cylinder with its own mini exhaust pipe, which means exhaust headers prevent the backpressure that occurs in a common exhaust manifold. When cylinders don’t have to fight each other to expel their exhaust, they can put more power through the wheels. Combined with a high performance cold air intake, and a cat-back exhaust system, a header system will remove all restrictions and your engine will perform at its potential.”

The new larger 2.4 litre engine means more power on its own, but it does not stop there the work in the engine compartment is extensive and the result means better performance from the improved power output.

The interior has been left more or less, as it came out of the factory, apart from the addition of the obligatory blue neon lighting system, which gives the cars interior a complete different outlook without much work being done inside. It is a cool idea and a real show stopping feature even though it may give you a headache after a while!

Product Description for the specially strengthened to handle adjustable bars;

Product Details: The standard sway bar links are very compliant. The rubber bushes easily distort, while the actual plastic link flexes under load. This may be quite acceptable for everyday use; however, it does severely limit the effectiveness of the sway-bars. Even worse, if you use high performance options like Blade Adjustable. The original Rear Links distort enough to reduce the rear bar rate by up to 80kg of force. Aftermarket sway bars add even higher loads, which can lead to premature cracks and mounting failure. Fit bigger rear bars with confidence or just upgrade your OE brackets to remove mounting flex. Specially strengthened to handle adjustable bars. Notes: Replacement type: 20mm. Includes 1. Fits: Hyundai – Coupe RD (96-01)
