By now we have long established that the wonderful Toyota Supra is one of the most ideally suited cars for the import builder, the reason for this is simple it has shape, style, a long pedigree and comes with a cool inline three litre engine. Cars just do not come like this anymore, well certainly at price that is affordable by almost everyone who has the vision to see beyond the factory built version.

You have to skip back twenty years or so to see the sort of era that the second generation MR2 (SW20) was launched into, these were busy times and the property and financial markets were about to be rocked to ground! Not as bad as what we have seen recently, but never the less this was a time for caution and yet Toyota was already committed to the new looking MR2, which was nicknamed the poor man’s Ferrari.

The MR2 is one of the coolest Toyotas around even with all of the issues that Toyota has the moment with the biggest product recall in the history of the car industry the MR2 rises up over all of this. This model is in fact the 1992 version, to some people it would be best one made and we would have to agree.

When Toyota first brought out the MR2 in the late eighties it took the market by storm, people from all around the world could not get their hands on one quick enough and that is how the market for a good sports car developed. Now most of the major car manufacturers have their own mini sports car, but still the MR2 is the one that is leagues ahead of the rest and in fact, the fantastic MR2 is out there on its own.

The Scion is Toyota’s attempt at attacking the younger car owner in the US, which to all intents and purposes they have done with flair and design. This is something a little bit special the Blitz/Scorch Drag Supra, capable of delivering 1,497 hp, which is one hell of handful. The car was built by Blitz the drag racers in collaboration with the drag shop Scorch Racing.
The plan is simple, get this car to the track in Japan and blows everything else out of the way, which may not be that difficult considering that the ultimate goal is build the fastest Supra around.

It is not unusual to see a normal Toyota Supra being driven around the streets by a woman; you have to suppose that occasionally the car would even be used on the school run.
