We do not get many opportunities to see what is going on in other countries, so as I am from the UK I thought that it might be interesting to have a look at the UK Japanese Modified Car scene. I was pleasantly surprised to find that first up there is a UK scene and that it is thriving.
Take this Toyota Corolla 1.8 T Sport, it the 2002 model and in the US a car such as this if you could actually find one would not really make the modders scene. It is almost in the style and condition that the manufacturer wanted, of course, there are some modifications but we Brits are rather refined in our exploits.
Yet this little car is impressive, it offers a nice 190 BHP and will take the owner Greg over a quarter of mile in a good 15.73 seconds. This is on a factory standard engine with no modifications at all. However, the exterior has been given some help to the standard factory kit with the introduction of chrome coloured indicators bulbs and a set of JDM light conversions.
